Navigating a new system through real-world scenarios

In a fast-paced organization, a major change was underway: a swift transition to a new document repository system. The leadership knew this change would fail without proper training, but they lacked the internal expertise to develop a course themselves. Staff needed to learn how to use the new system securely and efficiently, and they needed to do it quickly.

I was brought in to design a comprehensive eLearning course. My vision was to create a solution that was more than just a walkthrough. I used story-based learning to make the content practical and relevant. Each task was introduced with a real-world scenario, helping learners understand why each step mattered. The course was designed to be a practical guide, allowing employees to follow along in real-time within the new system as they completed the training.

Despite the training being optional, the results were impressive. The course had high registration and completion rates, and employee feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Staff felt more confident and capable using the new system. The client was so pleased with the outcome and the demonstrated power of story-based learning that they immediately requested my help with another project.
